Join Our Team
We are always looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our research group. If you are passionate about computational biophysics, we would love to hear from you.
Open Positions
Undergraduate
We offer specialized research placements for undergraduate Chemistry students eager to explore the intersection of molecular biology and computational science. Our lab provides a range of Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis projects focused on simulating complex biochemical systems, drug-target interactions, and protein folding dynamics.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis
PhD
We are seeking a highly motivated doctoral candidates to join our research team for fully funded PhD projects in Computational Biochemistry. We offer an immersive research experience within a multidisciplinary environment, providing access to state-of-the-art high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and opportunities for international collaboration.
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
- Prior experience in computational modeling, programming (Python, C++, or Fortran), or Linux environments is highly desirable.
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis
Postdoctoral
We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to spearhead a high-impact project focusing on the development of multiscale models for drug discovery. The successful candidate will leverage cutting-edge computational tools to address fundamental questions in biochemical signaling and structural dynamics. Beyond research, the fellow will be expected to contribute to grant writing, collaborate with experimental partners, and provide co-supervision for PhD and Master’s students.
Requirements:
- A PhD in Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, or a closely related discipline, obtained within the last 5 years.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating expertise in molecular dynamics (MD), quantum mechanics (QM/MM), or machine learning applications in bioscience.
- Advanced proficiency in simulation packages (e.g., GROMACS, AMBER, NAMD, or Gaussian) and scripting/programming languages (Python, R, or C++).
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis
